Outstanding advantages of Dynablast 5
Good shock cushion, body protection
- In lab testing, the Dynablast 5 delivered ~156 SA of impact absorption at the heel and ~127 SA at the forefoot — well above average for many running shoes.
- This means you’ll feel a more “hard” impact on the ground with each step — great for everyday running.
- The stack is quite large: heel ~39.4 mm and forefoot ~31.8 mm in testing.
- The drop measured around 7.6 mm — a pretty “safe/standard” level for many neutral runners.
Good material and durability
- The upper uses a technical Jacquard mesh, which is both soft and breathable — helping to prevent the feet from getting hot/sweltering when running a lot or in hot and humid conditions.
- The outsole uses AHAR™ LO rubber (ASICS High Abrasion Rubber — Low), with high abrasion resistance, helping to increase the life of the shoe when running a lot.
- The durability tests of the sole and upper also gave results that exceeded the average.
Stable and well controlled for daily running
- Despite being a neutral shoe, the Dynablast 5 feels quite stable: the forefoot is wider than average (118.4 mm) to increase the stable contact surface, while the heel is kept at a moderate level (~90.7 mm) so as not to be too "bulky" and cause loss of road feel.
- The midsole and heel-counter structure are also rated at 4/5 stability in the test.
- Therefore, if you are a runner with a neutral foot type (not too much pronation or too much supination), the Dynablast 5 is the right choice
